My dream job. Isn't it beautiful?
Last week I had the opportunity to go up to Salt Lake with my class to give a company of 1600 people their flu shots. I do not like the smell or feel of latex gloves, the smell of alcohol wipes, or being the bad guy by being on the giving end of the shot instead of the receiving end. Despite all of these things, it was a great learning experience for me, and I am now confident with giving shots. I suggest that you go get your flu shot and H1N1 shot. Unless you don't want to. Then don't. But don't come crying to me when you get the flu and are sick as a dog for weeks on end.
I had a lot of people ask me questions about the flu shot that they didn't know the answer to, like will they get sick from the flu shot? Is it a live virus? (The answer to both is no, by the way) And how does the flu shot work? If you have these same questions I suggest asking your doctor or WebMd-ing it. If you're going to do research online do it through a credible source, not this PETA-HATES-THE-FLU-SHOT-CUZ-IT-HAS-EGGS-IN-IT.COM crap. Be legit about it.

It's not PETA-HATES-THE-FLU-SHOT-CUZ-IT-HAS-EGGS-IN-IT.COM or anything but its pretty close. I found this on the web.
"Predictions of a pandemic continue. The airwaves blast warnings. Protect yourself! get the swine flu vaccine as soon as it becomes available.
The problem is, the vaccine is grown in EGGS. And as we know vegans do not eat any meat or animal by-products. This includes EGGS.
So the message to vegans is, tough luck. You don't matter. We don't care if you catch the swine flu and die.
I don't know who, but someone (or something) BIG is behind this diabolical plot against vegans. Why would an entire class of citizens be excluded from life-saving innoculation? What have vegans done to deserve such a callous fate?
If you share my outrage or have any further information about the parties responsible for this plot, please comment here."
That may be one persons opinion but eh, I like scrambled eggs. Might as well protect myself against H1N1.
