Resolutions - 2011

So up until last year I never took goals seriously. I would make goals (kind of) and then not stick to them. I'm proud to say that we were able to cross most of our New Years Resolutions off our list for this year. I finished school, I found a job as an MA, we have made improvements with planning meals/cooking and with managing our money, we went to Disneyland, and we are healthier now, even if it's only because of prescription cholesterol medication. There were still a few things I was hoping we'd take care of this year, but I'm definitely satisfied with what we were able to do and where we are now. We've been talking about our goals for 2011 and I honestly think that if I blog about them it's easier for me to look back and see what they were and stick with them, which is kind of embarrassing to admit how much I rely on the internet. Why can't I just write them down? Because I lose paper. And when I say "lose" I mean "throw away before I should because I have this weird thing with not having papers cluttered everywhere." Who do I visit teach? Couldn't tell you. How many times have they given me the paper with all my visiting teaching information on it? At least 6. High five.

GOALS FOR 2011

  • Go visiting teaching. At least once.
  • Go to the temple once a month. For real this time.
  • Have a better sleep schedule. I never want to know what 4 am looks like ever again.
  • Cook more and eat healthier. We are so much better than last year but we can still improve a lot.
  • Zumba at least once a week.
  • Get out of debt and save more.
  • Don't move. I hate moving. I hate packing. I hate it all. If the house sells then we will move but if it doesn't sell between now and when Rick's parents go on their mission (April 2011) then they are taking it off the market, which means we would be here for at least 2 more years.
  • Have Meeko be 100% potty trained.
  • Get the carpets cleaned.....ha.
  • Do everything we possibly can to have Rick join the tribe. So much harder than it sounds.
  • Have Rick work for the Railroad again. There is really nothing we can do at all for this to happen but it would be cool.
  • Stop putting off going to the Dentist/Doctor. We needed to go to the dentist probably a year ago. Can't wait to see how many cavities we have between the two of us. I have also had horrible pain in my back that spreads to my hip and shoots down my leg. I've been putting off going to the Doctor for that because I'm stubborn. I also have had a sweet rash for like 2 months that I didn't realize how bad it was until one day after a shower I was getting ready and noticed it looked like I had some kind of pox all over my chest, stomach, and back. They're spreading at a rapid rate, too. Sweet.

Bring it on, 2011!

I love that one of the goals says "I never want to see what 4am looks like ever again" ... posted at 2 am.

You and I are in the same boat woman!
But very cute. Great goals...

Um but one goal... I think should be that you join in on a girls night with me! I know you love your hubby.. blah blah blah... Come and have fun, it's been too long since we have done that.. I am talking like 15 years.

That picture took me like 4 minutes to figure out what part of your body was and what the heck angle you were taking it at.

I finally got it, though. Also doctors are overrated. :P

Nice goals

Haha, Olivia, the funny thing about that is for some reason the time on my blog has always been an hour off, so actually that was posted at like 3. Awesome. And yes we need to have girls night. For real.

Phil, I wondered if people would not know what part of my body it was. Mostly cause I said it was on my chest, stomach and back, and I'm definitely not going to post pictures of those areas on my blog. Too weird.

love your last few posts! How have I missed these?!!? Anyway, I have way too much to say - let's just go with I love LOVE your blog and wish you would have come to the christmas party so that we could officially be for reals friends. next time ;o) I had the back pain that would shoot through my hip and leg by the way, and it was only on one side or the other, never both at the same time. my brother said my back was overworking because my other muscles were too weak. sounds lame...but I started working out and doing specific stretches and exercises - i haven't had that since. my back has been a thousand times better. maybe that kid knows something? maybe he's just a good guesser.

LOVE that photo of you and rick below. like seriously LOVE it.

Let's be honest--I thought that picture was of your boobs.

Katie, I thought to myself "what if people don't know that this is my neck/shoulder? No....no one would think that because of how my shirt is."

IT'S NOT MY BOOBS.

Love,
